GTI Build Dates - Anyone got one yet?

Perhaps yours is actually getting built to schedule, it shouldn't be saying that until at least Sunday morning if it hadn't been started yet.

Or maybe VW are just toying with you, via the tracker.

its changed to what it said this morning so looks like VW toying with me.

Mine is still saying BW Confirmed, production week confirmed 01/09/13.  It has not changed to Build in progress yet. I will keep a close eye on it this week.

same as mine then mate, maybe we will both get the cars same time?

  Lets hope so.  The excitement VW sapped from me with the long wait is starting to slowly return again knowing i am almost on the home straight.

Yeah welcome to the forum mate, that's a nice looking Polo GTI there, but I'm sure you'll have more fun in your new Golf GTI when you get it!

I'm fairly new to the forum too, but just have to ask that you don't make off-hand statements like this with no follow up. I don't suppose you realise how long it took to make that decision!

I wouldn't worry about it. Flat black is a lovely deep shade of black but its an absolute killer to keep clean

I'm intrigued to know the bad sories about Pearl - some say it's too sparkly or has too much depth? The only downside I can see is it is a bugger to colour match should you have any remedial work with the body (had a Polo in Pearl with a delivery fault that I spotted a week into ownership (first wash). You could see the spray-in patch in certain overcast light, if you were looking for it).
