VR6 Clutch Kit. LUK one is around £118 from EuroCarParts.

And a G60 flywheel. Same as the ones found on the 2.0 16v engines. If you have a crappy one I think VW give you £20 or so off a new one. Works out to be £100 for a new. Might have changed now though as that was well over a year ago now.

Yep :)

I got them in my Mk3. I have a Sachs clutch not a LUK one but reading people's review's on them both, I'd say they are equally good, so which ever is cheapest for you I guess.

Its a common upgrade on the Mk4 too:

Get somewhere to turn down the flywheel to 6kg and balance it - will make the engine rev much snappier.  You don't need a 9-10kg flywheel on a dinky little Golf1.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Still better than the dual-mass bad boy! How much does that weigh compared to the G60 flywheel?

*slap*

The lightened single-mass is the best flywheel for this application.

No idea how much the dual-mass weighs.  Are you weighing it before or after it's fallen apart?!

Not if the engine's properly managed.  It should be fine.
