Ive heard that a lot of people have had probs with non genuine mafs, So my advice would be get a genuine one from VW or www.vagparts.co.uk

Buy quality once :afro:

 Just a thought you can get a fault code reader for about £30, will only read/clear fault codes but is a cheap option to find out what is wrong with her. Not a patch on vag com but you dont need a laptop :cool:

my maf went and thats the sort of return i was getting . rich is right in saying that you should be getting double that
if it was the maf how much am i lookin at for a new one.

£70 exchange from the dealer - and get it from the dealer; don't buy Ebay cheaps sh!te. GSF may have them but its hit and miss if you get a pukka Bosch MAF
