Rally of the Midlands
« on: 17 June 2011, 19:27 »
They have a rally every year that runs through the town. The special stage is round the council offices and is quite good. Not the best pics but I though someone might like to see em! Where are all the golfs though??

My daughter was impressed -

I work on the MIRA sight and I can get to see one of the stages that passes through there but cant take any friends or even family along which is crap.

I saw a Corsa and a Nova going past my place in Nuneaton at about 7pm today that looked like rally cars, oh i think i saw the Scooby too.

The wet tarmac faced with high speeds and damp tyres mixed into what was a lamp-post wrecking event. They tried to repair and guard against further accidents but I expect they were concerned with public saftey, now hightened after the Merevale event, and the rally's delay. They cancelled the stage shortly after clearing the track. There was supposed to be last two spectator stages at Merevale with the first car due at 1340 but with all the delays, offs and complications there was no action when we headed home at 1500hrs.
