has anyone bought one of the cheap intercooler kits from ebay or knows of someone who has. any ideas what they would be like. havent got £700 under the bed or in the bank for that matter for a good one. anyway if anyone has one what are they like and what was it like to fit

i bought an ebay fmic a while ago, didn't think it was worth fitting tbh.

Am I right in thinking fmic cause more fuel consumption due to cooler air being ducked up? I'm not completely savey in this area, I've seen the TT mode for the arch and wondering if a forge SMIC would benefit from this?

£700 for an intercooler?!

Anyways the FMIC should be the last thing you fit before mapping. You're trying to fill something about three times the size so you're bound to get more lag and fuel consumption until it's mapped to take the intercooler into account

AGU 1.8T. Mods done: R32 front bumper, turborev smic, ngk platinum spark plugs, uprated pancake pipe, demon motorsport boost hoses, forge 007 dv, forge engine cover, r-tec stage 1 map ,home made cold airfilter ,run on 98 ron fuel and castrol edge 0w 40 oil. Advanti racing alloys.

not bad, I reckon you could chop an LCR splitter to go either side of the big cut out too
