been ringing around to get some prices for a cambelt/tensioner change
awsome quoted £330 + vat
gilbert lawton quoted £342 all in (getting better)
and smith knight quoted £290 all in
so im booked in at smith knight
it sounds a good price what do you guys reccon

could be wrong but those sound like manchester vw garages? if so i had mine done last year for 250 at boardman brothers - vag specialist there in failsworth

I think that is a good price, my TDi was done in August last year (before I bought it) by the VW dealer in Edinburgh and it cost £327

I've been lucky, am getting mine done next week at my uncles garage and he's doing it inc vat and labour for £176 :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

It costs £80 for the parts.. i got mine fitted for £100 so i done aight :drool:
