mk3 .2lt accident

Hi Guys,New member needs help please. Can anyone help please had an accident checking my oil level . i am 76 oap not to steady but i love my Golf .I dropped my light across both battery terminals big flash ,now it won,t start ,checked all fuses ok ,replaced relay 409 .still not starting .cranks over ok .lights work ok, still not start ,can any one Help.Please Thanking you Norm. 2lt petrol AGG .

Try disconnecting the battery for a few hours then try it

Hi Barrym.381 .I did what you said left them off for 24 hrs ,still no spark and plug was dry .no electrics on ignition system or injection system ,i don,t know where they get power from ,checked all fuses ,im at a loss .thanks for trying ,Normbla.

Got it going guys ,changed the coil pack ,going like a sowing machine .I will be a bit more careful in future .need a rubber lead light .lessen learnt cover battery terminal when working under bonnet, cheers
