I have had my seats, spare tyre, and all interior panels out and the noise still happens. Im sure I have ruled out everything other than suspension / drop links.

I do run an up-rated roll bar which I have freshly greased and refit (so its can be that). but when driving my ride does feel rather harsh to say im on OEM spring and shocks. When the car is on the lift the wheels fall as normal, they dont stayed compressed and the ride isnt sloppy / bouncy, so I cant work out if the shocks have dried / stiffened up and thats why they are not compressing properly and giving a smooth ride....does this ever happen?

Or is there a chance it could be the drop links that are knackered? I have sprayed they with liquid grease but still the same -  im so confused as to what it could be.

Thanks

I thought it was the boot rubber seal causing this, but after driving with the boot lid fully open it still happened, creaking like a son of a b!tch.

So after a bit more research, people say it could be the rear suspension mount or welds in the C-Pillar.

Has anyone heard of these or ever had to fix / replace them.

Thanks

Mine creaks going over a series of speed bumps on my wayto work but on others it doesn't do it but bl00dy annoying.

I've had a look at the suspension from underneath when jacked up and can't see anything untoward and so I'm thinking it is the springs or the struts or the mounts.  Can't think what else it would be?

If its only happening when the hatch is shut, have you looked into adjusting the close mechanism. I'm not sure if it can be adjusted but I'd imagine it must be able to be moved. You might have to shut the hatch more firmly, but it would be a 'tighter' fit.

Just a thought.

It does it when its open as well which leads me to believe its the suspension or suspension mounts, or C pillar weld / creaky frame

Sorry, I read it as creaking when shut.

It may be the ball joint on one end the drop link has dried out inside its rubber boot. Maybe try disconnecting one drop link, thereby relieving any stress on the whole rear ARB setup and see what happens then. You will be ok to trundle round with one bolt undone, its only the roll bar.

I've noticed in the warmer climate mine has stopped creaking so much, over harder roads I get a few creaks, but not as many as before, weird

Just noticed something on mine while polishing the  shark fin on the roof, creaks like mad when you touch it, have a look, might be your problem, especially with the roof flex over bumps.
