« on: 23 September 2005, 21:45 »
On the AV headunit that i have there is a wire that needs to be connected to the handbrake switch.
Is it nessesary to connect this for the unit to work and if yes, how dificult is it to find the positive handbrake switch wire :undecided:

Cheers Guys

find out if it needs to be earthed or live (think earthed). Then attach it to earth or power

I have the Pioneer DVD/Screen head unit also. Have had it for a couple of years now.

Mine has been wired for 'always on' performance - in fact this very morning I travelled to work accompanied by series 5 of the simpsons.

Connect the cable that should go to the handbrake into your Earth circuit, and you'll be cool and the gang.

Any of you lads got a picure of the av in the car.  I am looking at doing something like this.  I do have space above the normal standard stereo.

Is that where you have fitted yours.
