Title: Wiring Issues

Is there any problem with using 0gauge wire to power my two amps via a distribution block even if its not needed?! What I mean is could a lower gauge than needed cause problems like over powering...?

I may just be asking a really stupid question here hence no replies. Surely only the power needed is drawn from the battery...?
