hello everyone,
I drive a mk2 driver 1.6. its got a weber carb on there, iv been trying to get the thing tuned up to reduce its thirsty and very unecological fuel habits (seems to be doing something around 25mpg!?
) it runs fine once its warmed up after giving it a little choke. although does seem to have slight flat spots in its acceloration.
Recently after giving it another little tweak i think iv got my mixture right as the engine sounds a lot smoother than when i first got it and the plugs are showing to be neither covered in soot or white, but im getting a strange sqeeking noise when i come off the accelorator. no idea what this is. Pinking maybe? although im not intirely sure even what that is
OR it could be something completely unrelated, in which case DAMN!
