Title: Oil for MK5 1.9 PD over 150K
Post by: Dipesh2031 on 07 August 2014, 15:39
Hi,

Was just wondering if valvoline oil is good? haven't ever seen it in the uk before, this stuff is fully synthetic and talks about being better for higher mileage cars? Sounds good to me, ticks all the boxes and is pretty cheap for 4 litres of the stuff.

any opinions?

Not suitable for 1.9 TDI PD - no 505.01, so insufficient EP additives for PD elements.

Just stick with the VW Quantum stuff. Just as cheap as all the other oils and you know its correct for your engine
