The 944 was a re-developed version of the 924 which was actually a VW commissioned sports car which they sold to Porsche.

So what you've got it handles from a Porsche that was a VW, that you're now fitting to another VW

I cut up a spare golf handle i had to try fit that barrel but the porsche one is grooved to fit
here is a picture of the part i need



this is where it goes I seem to confuse people when I try describe it
its not the lock barrel itself its the other part i need
