a roller?!?! good GRIEF nooo!!! never thought of that. just too lazy to type range rover in full. I think a green roller would look horrid. Actually i did nearly buy a hearse version 40yrs ago for £25. Black with brass knobs on, and conversion possibilities for the back end. It prob had a flywheel too. But practicalities kicked in and I sensibly stuck with my Mobylette....much better for a student in London in the 60s!
As for the Golf, pics are beyond me, but imagine an absolutely plain black mk2 with a factory sunroof, 5drs, factory steel wheels with round holes,  nothing fancy, no exterior embelishments, just a discrete 'syncro' on the back.

If an old git like me can master posting photos I'm sure you can as well.

There's a thread above in this section that explains how to do it!

Red rocks in a mk2 when its red & not pink - dont buy a red car if, like me, you have no patience and cant be arsed cleaning/waxing every week - ill never buy another red car EVER

as for best colours....i prefer the royal blue in a mk2

bohenie, is it a syncro or just badged as one. if a proper then its rare model!!

Oh, it's a pukka basic syncro with bulge in boot that sticks it's claws into frosty bends! We even have the original brochure. Only internal changes have been a dodgy waxstat replaced by a Weber carb and man-choke, and a new JVC radio/cd and speakers. oh, and the rear wheel arches have been replaced.
