Here's one I've got that shows the colour pretty well:

It's a real difficult colour to get a good shot of though. You really gotta take a pic in early morning or late on a summers evening for the colour to come to life otherwise it just looks black.

You got any pics of your dad's split ?

fifteen f**king pound indeed.  :lipsrsealed:

Anyhow, Oak green, was a rare option on the mk2's, it was an understated colour, and indeed made the golfs look cool and classy, it does have a slight reference to racing green (they share some of the same paint colours), but nothing more.

They are more popular now as finding one in good condition is becoming hard. As with anything the harder it is to come by a car then the higher the price will climb. So there you have it.

Tosh! Oak Green is nothing like British Racing Green!!!!

And why try and make the comparison with a German car???

.....but he can't read because gibby said -

"British Racing Green" type colours

At no point did I say that oak green was BRG ! But you can't tell me that they're a million miles apart. What have you been taking Len ? British Racing Green can be a colour on any car can't it, be it German, Jap, Maltese, it's a description of a colour. I made no comparison to german or british cars. Apple white does not mean that apples are white does it !

You bored and trying to be controversial !

Me controversial?

Now who's splitting hairs?
You had Oak Green and British Racing Green in the same sentence! No matter if you tried to hash it with the word type!
True British Racing Green is a very defined colour first used by Bentley.
You made the analolgy that does not compute!
