Exhaust noise
«
on:

Got a second hand r32 style exhaust fitted wednesday and it was perfect sound. Better than I expected.
Then today it sounds kinda dead compared to last few days?
Flat patches nowhere near as loud.
Any ideas or thoughts?

Have you checked to see if its blowing? cover the tailpipes and see if the engine cuts out (it should do) if not then you will be able to hear the leak more / locate it

Just really frustrated now because it sounded fookin mint and not just gone really flat and dull and hardly tell its there.
Really strange.
Not gonna be able to sleep tonight.

Did you make sure it got hot today? Stainless may change sound as it heats and expands.

Yeah both cold and hot and still different today.
Past 6 days after fitting it sounded much better/louder cold and hot.

Maybe if you did it for a very long time, it'll take you 10 seconds to know if it cuts the car out or its blowing..
