Coilovers
« on: 13 July 2014, 20:20 »
So, since buying the 4mo I have already got the bug back for modifying, even though this was meant to be a bit of a rotter to get me to and from work.

Due to being 13 years old and having 90k on the clock it feels a bit unsettled on the twisties and want to get a bit of a better footing.

Ive looked on the internet but not sure of the best coilovers to be looking at, the car only cost me £1700 so don't want to spend a fortune but a few hundred.

Any advice would be well received.

Cheers

Mike

From mid price range of coil over found spax best and are adj damping, currently use H&R mono tube coilovers but were over £1k but really comfy.

Would love to be able to justify spending that money but for a run around I reckon the mrs would kill me if she found out id spent more than half the value of the car on suspension.

Just fitted fk ak street cost like £165 and are fine. In fact I expected them to be pretty bad but they are great for the money. Yeah i know you get what you pay for. If I paid £1k then I would be getting ripped off ass raped

Have had them on a few of my motors and would always buy them again.

Cheers for the thought but can't justify spending that amount on them. Think the FK ones are going to steal the show, especially for less than £200 from Europe. I know they won't be outstanding but I'm sure it will be better than the current suspension.

Lol I felt same but through business tax deduct able and track it so need decent suspension. Hoping change to kW clubsport series soon.
