Not enough free time

Hi there everyone - (new girl's first day  :P).

I'm always so busy with work I just don't get out half as much as I'd like to and wanted to make some new friends here to have some ideas how to spend what little time I have.

Before you all catch me out and flog me I don't own a Golf  :( - I just fell in love with them as an old flame had one and we got together cause I was peering in his car when he came back from the shop. How embarrassed was I? Still I've loved them ever since.........

Welcome Isabella. This place can become addictive so spare us some time.

So what exactly was this old flames car? A Mk 1, 2 or 3.
16v or 8v.

Goes a lil something like this.. buy a golf, go to a meet/event, see things there that you want to buy, modify the car.
Go to more events to show off the car and see more things you want to buy.. etc etc .. cycle goes on until you're bankrupt or have the perfect car.
Look in the "shows and events" section and sign up for the Newark meet on October 10th, a lot of us will be there.

Hi guys, thanks for the welcome. He had a Mk 1 Golf. It was jaw dropping bright red and turned heads at every corner. Shame the relationship didn't last, l may have gotten custody of the baby if we'd married  ;) I have looked around over the last year or so to try and find one for myself but any old Golfs l've found have needed so much work and I don't have the time to fiddle with it, not that I'd have a clue what to do anyway. I have been considering buying the new Golf though but I'm not a huge fan of the new model.

Newark..........That's not far from Lincoln is it? I lived there for a while so know my way around there vaguely. I'm in Kent now but it's only a an hour and a bits drive away.
