LAKESIDE DAVE
« on: 24 August 2004, 12:55 »
Hello people

just thought I would say hello, I have been on the forum over ther last couple of days and it's been a really great help.
It's nice to speak to other people that have the same interest, i had got a bit tired with my trying to explain to my girlfriend that the red striped seats are original and haven't been homemade by someone!
My first gti is a 1982 mk1 1.6 exported here from germany (I think as it said it has been registered abroad?)
It's currently in dulux whiter as the last owner must of worked at B&Q and the paint is pretty nasty.
any advice will be gratefully received as even though I have bought the books got the mags and been to most of the shows this year my knowledge is still a bit sh!t.

speak to you all soon

I have just got my mechanic to come and look at my car for the first time so everybody cross your fingers.

cheers dave

LOL Bird?? I'm on shift next Sunday, what time does this thing go on to and when does it start? Besides I'm not sure I could find someone mental enough to go with at such short notice!
