Help - Parking Sensors on a Skoda Octavia mk2
« on: 26 November 2011, 21:43 »
All,

I've had a scan on the G/f dads car as his parking sensors are playing silly buggars.

There are no fault codes being stored for them and I've done the usual like checking cleanliness and as much as I can checked the CCM... However.....

This comes up on autoscan: Central convenience status malfunction 0010

I'm not entirely sure what this means, but there is something about a thermal protection on a locking module being intermittent as well. I've checked the CCM (no 46) for individual faults and nowt comes up, then checked the sensors for clicking when in operation all click, N/S rear slightly quieter than others but still clicks.....

Can anyone offer any insight at all?

Slick its hard to pin point something like that, but its garanteed to be a voltage issue have you checked if the sensor has gone to earth anywhere? Dirty contacts or water ingress could cause this?
It's been awhile since I've mucked about with the inconvenience module.
Address 46 is defo voltage issues.
I would unplug each one and run the scan again see if it goes away?
