Title: Side light beep?

Can someone clear this up for me please.

Ive had my golf for a few weeks now, its the mk4 gti, every time ive had my sidelights on i forget and get out the car and walk off, on other cars Ive had, if you leave any lights on the car beeps at you as soon as you open the door, hence you turn the lights off. If I leave the key in the ignition and open the door it beeps, so i cant see why it would do it for lights. Is there a fuse for it thats blown? or do golfs just not have the feature?

mine beeps if i have lights or side lights on and open drivers door.

yup, mine too, even beeps if i leave indicators on for parking lights

mine did that one say couldnt for my life work out why it was beeping then relised i left the indicator on and it wouldnt stop i was getting quite annoyed lol

mine makes a beep sound.. and then sometimes it doesnt  :undecided:
