 beware when it comes time to renew with elephant. read the small print closely. i'm not due for renewal until 1st feb 2006, but i will be out of the country for all of january, so understandably i want a quote and it all sorted and in place before christmas. no can do with elephant, they won't send out a renewal quote until first week of jan, ie 3 weeks before. they won't even give me a quote for a new policy. also in the fine print, if you do not ring and cancel at least 3 weeks before renewal, ie before they send out your renewal quote, you are stuck! they will take out the money for the policy even if you don't want to go with them after recieving your new quote. after reading this thread i'm upping sticks to try Admirlal, quote £400, and i've got the bloke ringing me back on monday for a revised quote, after speaking to his boss today!! ta
