Car Cleaning - Basic Kit Needed
« on: 06 April 2008, 19:02 »
Guys,

I am looking at making a few purchases to ensure my car is nice and clean the next time i wash it.

At present I have a hosepipe, a power washer and thats it.

So what are your top 5 recommended purchases?

Thanks

CS
PS - The cars a MK4 Golf with standard alloys and Metallic Reflex Silver paintwork

Poorboys Super Slick & Suds
Clearkote Vanilla Moose hand glaze
Collinite wax - think its 846 or you can go for 915
Megs Hot Rims wheel cleaner

i currently use Autoglym Super Resin Polish followed by Extra Gloss Protection but i think there are better products out there.

Also get some Sonus green clay bar and Megs Quik Detailer then

Wash
Clay
Rinse / Wash
Polish
Glaze
Seal
Wax
Admire

are you looking to do any paintwork correction or just be lazy?

decent polisher will cost you in the region of £140 so depends on how deep your pockets are?

OK So i have just purchased this lot :

Sonus Green - Ultra Fine Clay refill
Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze
Chemical Guys Wet Mirror Finish
Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance
Foam Wax Applicator

I did find an AutoGlym kit at home the misses got me for Christmas unopened so that can fill in the gaps to my kit :)
