Mk2 golf exhaust

Having a full straight through exhaust will make it loud. I only have two boxes, straight pipe from head to what would be the second silencer. For engine note there is personal preference in some after market system such as jetex or scorpion ect so look at some youtube vids. I think induction makes a better sound than exhaust but I'm not sure what you are able to do with carbs. Try replacing back box then if you like the note try removing the centre silencer for a slight noise increase.

had a look at some vids last night! very helpful advice as ive got a clear picture of things now. going to custom build my exhaust, jetex back box with stainless steel tubing, going for a very slight upswept look..
