Took it to test drive a few replacements, think it might be getting swapped for a seat leon fr+ diesel

I had a Leon FR diesel for 18 months and 60k miles, was a really great car to drive

That's good, did you have any problems with it?

Not a sausage, absolutely as good as gold. Averaged 52mpg, was plenty quick enough and the seats were far more comfortable than our GTi's, happily could spend 6 hours driving and feel fresh after.

Definitely will consider the new model when my 3 series lease expires.

Close call Neil, very lucky escape.

Amazed the alliy subframe didnt take a battering as its one of the lowest parts. Unless it hit the suspension bottom arm instead.

Just applying fk1000p to my winter alloys! Wish I had bought 3 spokes as it would of been easier to do!

Driven it to West Yorkshire (my home county) for a few days.  Nice smooth uneventful journey, if a little windy!

Had mine serviced the other day under the Vw service plan. Car seems to be running smoother and faster. Not sure if it's just a placebo effect?! In any case it's made me happy.

32.6mpg not bad considering its been used to commute only the past two weeks and ive not driven it with economy in mind at all.

Took it to Ikea in MK. Took one look at the queue and turned around again, then went for a blast in manual flappy paddle mode. Reminded me what a great all-round car it is, especially with the Bluefin installed.

Then SORN'd my '97 Elise and tucked it away for the winter
