is the 2000 model hav a ko4 turbo or do all s4 hav ko4 on them

Although VAG wouldn't be VAG without releasing different versions of them!!  :grin:

The early KO4's are no better than the late KO3's. :smiley:

Do you not need to change the injectors for a k04 and get it remapped as well??

I would say a mapped 1.8T KO3 "S" would slightly leave a 225 S3 (in the dry) due to the lighter mass & less transmission loss, but I would guess the S3 would have better traction in the wet (4WD).

I'd avoid the early (210) S3's, TBH, they're not all that, IMO.
