As some of you know I am in the building trade. A lot of my job is moving heavy stuff around, generators, slabs, blocks, breakers etc.
The car I use for work is a Ford Mondeo TDCI. The thing that really pi$$ed me off about it is I would only need to move all the tools say 100ft and the seatbelt warning light and high pitched beep would sound if I did not wear my belt. Now on a dirty old building site moving such distance I never put my belt on. So earlier today I googled this to see if there was a fuse or something I could remove.....It came back with this......
Deactivating/Activating
Turn the ignition switch to position II. (Do not start the engine).
Wait until the safety belt warning indicator turns off. (Approximately one to two minutes). Note: The next 3 steps must be completed within 60 seconds or the procedure must be repeated.
Buckle then unbuckle the safety belt three times, ending with the safety belt unbuckled.
Turn the headlamps ON then OFF.
Buckle then unbuckle the safety belt three times ending with the safety belt unbuckled. After this step the safety belt warning indicator will be illuminated for three seconds.
Within seven seconds of the safety belt warning indicator turning off, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt. This will enable the belt minder if disabled or disable belt minder if enabled.
My question is........How the bloody 'ell do people find out this sort of stuff?!?!
