Dan's New Daily Cruiser. Aldi A3 2.0 Tdi

Well the Mini Cooper S had to go as even though it was just a 1.6 that suprercharger running 200bhp meant i couldnt get over 20mpg at a push

I have replaced it with a Audi A3 8p 2.0 TDI se DSG

Bit of a run down on the car..

-130k FSH
-dual climate control
-Auto dim rear mirror
-Air con that doesn't work at the mo
-Coilovers
-paddleshift
-cruise control

And thats about it its a very poverty spec car at the moment but im looking to keep for a while so slowly going to be doing it up..

Here are a couple of pics from the advert.. (i dont own the bentley wheels i couldnt afford £1k for them   )

Right the car is in a very bad shape them pics make it look so much better than it is   I have the car booked into Guy at Tona Detailing/Valeting next month for a correction/detail session on it which should improve it..

I have 2 new front fog light grills as one is missing and other is a fog light blank.. I also have a black OOOO badge for the back as the car was debadged when i bought it..

I have the car booked in for a front bumper respray next month while im on holiday..

All systems go

Today i changed the CV joint on the car the previous owner knew it had gone so bought a CV joint in preperation but never fitted it.. Only took me an hour but has made the car 10X better as it no longer knocks like buggery round left hand corners

Oh and while changing the CV i checked over the coilovers that look in mint condition.. they only have 2 threads till full lowered at the front   i scrape on most things  :nerd:

More to come !

Well debadge is free   Lights are about £160 and are plug and play

DSG seems to cope well with a remap; look at the silly power Hurdy was running with his

Being a 140 did it suffer from a cracked head??  Early ones did along with weak turbo's   Might be worth giving Audi a call to see what work has been done  :nerd:

Is that £160 for lights from dealers or ebay ??

Thing is do the clutchs last on DSG as i can imagine them being an expensive fix lol.. Also how much are new turb's ??

Calling Audi is a good idea will they tell me much on the phone ??

Dealers I think.  Get over to Audi Sport and contact Stoke Audi as they operate forum discount :afro:

No idea on the clutches  :undecided:  A new turbo is around £450?  Might be more....

Should be able to tell you all the service history providing the work was carried out at a dealer   There's a few threads on Audi Sport about the cracked head so its worth matching your head part number with those that failed
