If you are looking for a fast golf then it looks like marcus (m777cusgti) has spoken a lot of sense (for a change ! ) If I had 5k I reckon I would go for that red rallye that is on sale on the www.supergolfs.co.uk website, it's something different but it's Left hand drive and don't forget if you go for a G60 or a rallye you will have to get the charger overhauled every so many miles, sorry I can't remember what the interval is but I'm sure GavG60 or jv can confirm this.   Happy hunting.
