Changing gear when cold

Please help

Having problems selecting 1st and 2nd gear when engine is cold, once engine warms up there is no problems

Any ideas anyone?

Possibly low on gearbox oil..

change gear box oil, easy and cheap to do. will make quite a difference.

finally got round to changing gear oil today and has made no difference  :sad: also its hard to get 5 now keeps going into 3rd  :sad: anyone got anymore ideas ?#

Was going to say linkages, but those won't make a difference whether the engine is warm or cold.
The only thing I can think of now is the synchromesh between gears.

Well it can be clutch related.

Does the peddle free up when the engine warms up?

 its a 16v and clutch pedal is a little stiff when cold, works ok tho no slipping or anything.
 
4th to 5th gear change getting worse its a nightmare when driving keeps just going into 3rd  :sad:

is there any linkage parts which wear and can change ?
