Title: Slow puncture / wheel refurb
Post by: Billybob2 on 15 March 2019, 11:30
Hi all, I have a couple of slow punctures on my MK4 GTi. Kwik fit said not tyres but alloy wheels need refurb. Can anyone advise who I should typically take this to to get done and typical cost? I don't want full spray job etc just enough of a rebuff to ensure the tyres seel properly...thanks

Probably cheaper finding a second hand set that hold air if it's mk4 wheels they are cheap now and plenty for sale

what you need is a seat corrosion service.

Or

do it yourself, all it takes is to remove any bead sealer / rubbish around where the tyre sits preferably grinded away, then paint over with primer and such. It doesnt take long to do, you should find that it solves the issues your having.
