My MK2 GTI
« on: 10 October 2010, 21:20 »
Hi all

This is my mk2 GTI
Got her about 3 weeks ago and i'm buzzing off it!
Its a 1.8 GTI 8v but has a 2ltr bottom end
It had a few mods done to it alreadly like single lamp grill, coils, single wiper converion and front G60 arches. Also has full leather interior

I'm on the hunt for a few new bits such as corrado seats and half tinted rear light (if you can help drop me a pm  !)

Anyway...pics!

She needs some work doing like tiger sealing the arches back on so they sit flush with the car and a few spots of rust that need taking car of, but all in all its fairly tidy. Just needs a good clean!

Any opinions or modding suggestions welcome!

Thanks for looking

Thought i would update with the goings on of the golf!

Wanting to get rid of the leathers so me and a mate had a drive to Northampton to pick up some front and  rear corrado seats.

Got the fronts fitted so far and I am really happy with them! Waiting until I can source a welder off of a mate to fit the rears though

Unforunatly on the same night as buying the rado seats this happened

The gearbox decided to pack up. So in the next few days I went out and bought a gearbox, new clutch and also treated myself to some new gear linkages.
All got fitted this weekend and the gear changes now feel like an absolute dream!

Also had a quick trip to a scrapyard with a mate and stumbled across some half tinted (16v?) rear lights which imo look loads better than my previous ones

Will update more once I pull my finger out and get some more parts bought!
