thanks this worked a treat i was trying the way it tells you in the haynes manual but that wasnt working but this way did. mind you i had to change it form oil to insp if you know what i mean. small service writing and oil it wouldnt reset with this in the display so if you turn button A till it says service in small writing and insp and it reset stright away :nerd:

Yay thanks so much. Got my car serviced already but the message has been driving me nuts for months. Now it's gone woo. Now ive got a question though. Will th service light come on next time the car is due a service or will it come on based on when I deactivated the light?

Excuse my simpleness!! What is the difference between "Longlife Service Intervals" and "Fixed Intervals" ?

Fixed - change the oil every 10000 miles
Longlife - depending on your driving style / journey's - change the oil from 8000 to approx 20,000 miles
If you're on longlife I'd change to fixed and drop the oil every 12 months or 10,000 miles, which ever occurs first :smiley:
