Emission?

hi all i have a mk4 tdi and recently a warimg light has come (EMISSIONS WORKSHOP) and the engine light stays on.

any ideas what it can be?

That light is the engine managment light.

Its a real general light and could mean anything is wrong. Its pretty much impossible to tell whats wrong unless you get it plugged into VAGCOM and have the car diagnoised.

Thats your best bet as a next move.
