Sounding like a diesel
« on: 19 June 2007, 14:30 »
I'm thinking about getting rid of my MK3 GTI in favour of a TDI Bora due to family expansion plans, but think I'll miss the roar of my GTI. This is possibly a daft question but is there anyway you can get rid of, or at least mask that familiar diesel sound.

Diesels have come a long way and I would imagine there is still a lot of development going on to improve them further still. However, a diesel is still a diesel and there is no getting away from that, for now anyway.

I know what you mean i had a 1997 diesel escort and that sounded like a truck lol.

The golf tdi i have sounds very quite compared. And they go really quick.

Diesels of today are the engines to have i belive. And you get huge benefits ie tax is cheaper fuel is cheaper and lasts alot longer.

The noise aint really much of an issue for me. Just sounds more of a mans car lol
Diesel power all the way
