radio tp cancel
« on: 21 February 2018, 10:56 »
My old Mercedes was full of elegant simplicity. When the traffic announcements came on the radio you could push a button if the traffic station was too far away to be relevant or if you were close to home or if you were really interested in the radio station you were listening to and didn't want to be interrupted. It would then stay on the radio station you were listening to and would not divert to the traffic news until the next traffic report.

I have read, perhaps, a quarter of the long tome that describes the soon to be Gtipp7.5 radio but have not come across anything so simple. Can the radio be made to work in this way without extensive menu diving?

It already works like that. When the traffic report starts, there is a pop-up on the screen showing the radio station giving the report and two buttons to either Cancel or De-activate. Pressing Cancel will just kill it until the next one comes along.
