New to VW restoration.
« on: 26 November 2017, 00:06 »
We've got a T25 Karmel that we are restoring and has these things go while sorting that out we have been offered five Mk1 Golfs in various states of preservation from a rusty shell to an X reg GTI. Strangely the real GTI has nothing left but the engine, drivetrain and suspension to identify it as one, while the 1.3 sat next to it, is fitted with all the GTI bits.

There are two others in various states of disrepair that come with them... And this.

We are ex-military mechanics and this is just a hobby and a challenge. Our plan is to make one really nice MK1.

All we have to do is agree on the right price....

Sounds like a project to keep you busy!

Photobucket links do that unless you pay them $400 a year - other free photo sites are available :)

Thanks for the tip. I used Photobucket because it was recommended by the site. Do you have a better suggestion?

(Edit)

Think I've sorted it.
