Beware Front end TWOC (pic heavy)
« on: 01 August 2017, 08:51 »
Only last week I read on a forum this happened in the UK. 22.15 last night while watching Peter Kay.

Before.

After.

It looks like the front end is secured with 4 torx bolts.2 nrside and 2 offside then just clips. They only managed to undo the offside bolts before been disturbed by my neighbour,

bolt pics.

they then ripped it off leaving nearside fogs and headlight washer.

other side.

I Had my white one stolen, broke into house and took the keys and a forum member recently had is 66 plate stolen. So this is minor compared to that. Just a heads up to you guys. I have a garage full of crap. Not for long..

Wow! Thieving scum!

That's just mindless, pointless vandalism. Makes me really angry when I see this.

Someone must've desperately wanted a mk7 GTI Tormado Red front bumper!

WOW! They completely savaged your car.  They are absolute Scum for doing that to your car.  Where do you live, your estate looks like a nice enough pleasant area in the photos.

Christ that's bad. I can't believe that happens so close to home as well. I have been leaving my car out last few days as I am away 1st in the morning but think it's going in the garage tonight.

F*ckin scum.

Once upon a time not too long ago.... I had to go into A&E (Queen Elizabeth Hospital) in Birmingham and when I got out I got back to my car to find someone had stripped all of the bumpers, wing mirrors trim bits etc to my nearly new Astra SRI. I was furious but assumed I could find some evidence due to the fact it was parked in a new car park and must have had CCTV. After speaking to multiple people it turned out the cameras weren't working!

Bessacarr Doncaster. Lot of high end cars stolen from my area. I popped home yesterday afternoon, parked on my driveway and a green vw transporter did an incredibly slow drive by as I was entering the front door. Really looking hard at the house. Figured he wa s looking for a house number to drop off stuff. I'm waiting on the police and insurance to get back in touch. I did'nt know it was so easy to remove the front bumper, maybe I,m wrong but 4 exposed torx bolts?????

Happens loads to motorbikes.

Datatag is what you use to mark every piece of commonly removable components - fairings, tanks, wheels etc.

Wonder if anyone has ever done this for car parts.

Wow, that is pretty shocking!
I wonder if it's possible to mod the bumper?
Normally you'd expect some hidden bolts under the headlights or similar.
4 exposed bolts only, that's pretty dodge!

What the f**k is the world conning to when even the bumper isn't safe. It is not even like your house is tucked away in a corner and not overlooked by other houses.
