Active Info Display
« on: 26 April 2017, 21:27 »
Just taken delivery of my new Golf GTD (missing fog lights!) and am starting to find my way around the Active Info Display. Despite several negative posts by members , I really like it. A matter of personal choice, I suppose.

One question for others who have this display - can you find a "Classic" view on the menu? This is when the speedo and rev counter look identical to conventional ones. I can't find it, although on Passats and Tiguans, the option is there. Also, looking at various video reviews of the facelifted Golf (admittedly in German), the "Classic" view is available.

Not sure if it is an issue with all Golfs, just mine, or perhaps I have not made a menu selection somewhere .... but I've had a good look and not found anything.

Any help gratefully received !!

It'd be nice to know if you can turn the rest of the nonsense off and just have the speed showing in big numbers - that's all I look at on the dash these days

I can confirm there is no Classic option on mine. So that's no foglights and no classic so far.
