Future Mk7.5 GTI Lessee
« on: 09 April 2017, 11:55 »
Hi all,

I've just ordered a Mk7.5 GTI, standard spec in black rubin.

Bit of a surprise to me as I originally intended to lease a C or E Class Merc. However, with the recent offer (£269 p/m for 10k p/a over 24 months, nil deposit) - it was too good to pass up.

I'm desperate for some high res pictures (or preferably video) for the GTI in black rubin - currently have a Qashqai in nightshade deep purple / black but in metallic whereas the black rubin in the UK is a solid (oddly enough it seems to be a metallic in Ireland).

Found a used car on VW used cars but not much else... tbh black rubin isn't my preferred colour, but with a 24 month lease I don't want to pay £20-25 a month just for paint.

This GTI in Black Rubin that's for sale in the used cars section of VW's website might be the one you've found. It does have a 'walk-around' video though that shows the colour quite well; IMO, it looks like a dark wine / burgundy colour in certain lighting conditions. Just click on the 'play' arrow; bottom right of the picture.

2020 Polo GTI Plus; Pure White, DSG (because they all are)
Gone but not forgotten;
2016 Polo GTI; Blue Silk
2011 mk6 Golf GTD; Carbon Grey
2007 mk5 Golf GT (2.0 170bhp TDI version); Deep Black Pearl
2002  mk4 Golf GTI (the 150 bhp diesel version); Deep Black Pearl

That's the one I found - thank you. I like the video - just wish it was a bit bigger - I keep squinting at my screen!

You can increase the size of the video to full screen by clicking on the two arrows on the right of the time car at the bottom of the video.

I did think so, but they don't do anything for me on Windows or Mac...

6.5k for 2 years, not bad at all. Who was that with? I've not seen deals without big initial payments before.

I went with Hub Leasing in the end. Could have saved another 180 quid or so going direct with a VW dealer - but they were all sold out. There was a big campaign run by VWFS on 350 GTIs. Rumour has it another campaign will be launched at the end of this month.
