Checked my insurance today and I got several quotes cheaper than I'm paying now with bluefin remap included.

So what's the worst that can happen?

Clutch issues?
Wheel bearings?
Anything else that might go pop?

Did 20k+ in the mk6 without issues so might just go for it.

Warranty not a problem for me now, extended warranty runs out in July.

The other obvious one is the wife - she blew a fuse when I had the mk 6 done - HOW much are you paying??
(I haven't mentioned it this time, I'm getting older and might forget..)

I think the kids needed new shoes at the time but I suppose it increased their resilience to blisters and bullying.

They love me still - somehow.

The worst that can happen is the car gets hit by a meteorite.

So long as you don't hammer it from low revs in high gears the clutch shouldn't get too upset, nor the wheel bearings.
If you managed 20k with a Bluefin mk6 then the mk7 should fare no worse and you'll be able to afford shoes out of the insurance savings...

Did 360 miles yesterday through towns, A, B and some of the M4 and it was brilliant on all of them. It has transformed the car and even my MPG has gone up, despite some very spirited driving through Somerset, Wilts and Hants countryside on the way to and from St Athan in South Wales yesterday.

Didn't experience any clutch slip but as I said before, I'm not launching the car in 1st. Even in 2nd I'm still not using more than 50% of the throttle and that's because you don't need to.

I imagine traction will be a bit more interesting as the road temps drop but what FWD or RWD performance car isn't going to be?!

The diverter valve is chirping like mad now when pressing on and the induction sound is very addictive, coupled with the existing Pipercross panel filter I have and removal of the plastic weather filter in the bottom of the airbox. Might look to replace the DV for the GFB DV+ for peace of mind, but I know the stock DV is used on the R with a bigger turbo.

The delivery is smooth and there's no dead zone in the initial stage of pressing the throttle pedal or any flat spots in the rev range.

Impressed. Well done Superchips.

Ease of use, moderate and smooth increase in power and torque. The ECU map is changed with no additional hardware apart from the bluefin hand unit. Perfect for me - on and off in a few minutes.

3 yrs on my mk6 and loved it.

Diesel Tuning UK does not seem right for a GTI.
