19s, Brescias
5 door
Other none yet - but considering a black wrap for the roof, also on the front bumper the canard-y looking things, are they flat black? I might look into them being wrapped too.

Arriving next week!
Connor.

Good choice on the wheels Connor!

The black detail on the front bumper looks matt black on everything I've seen (not gloss black like the clubsport). I was thinking about gloss black wing mirrors on my pure white gti but changed my mind when I realised they wouldn't match anything... wrapping would clearly sort that.

Please post pics when yours arrives to help me in my wait.

Cheers

Andy

Another bonus I forgot with leather is that the seats are heated. I LOVE the heated seats... I have them on every morning for at least 9-10 months of the year  Brilliant.

So if I didn't spec leather I'd need to have the winter pack anyway and that's what, 3-400?

Also anytime I see a MK7 dash with the heated seat buttons blanked off... it looks... cheap.
MK8 GTI Clubsport. Reflex silver, Estorils, and a few other bits.

I've just ordered a bog standard GTI on a lease deal for Mrs G

We couldn't resist the new metallic Isaac Blue though   I remember just missing out on a Graphite Blue Mk 5 GTI - it  looks a very similar colour.

Dynamic lighting on one third of the 18, boy some people have money to burn :)
I'm sure people thought that about Xenons and curve lighting. Both our cars have those options and it is a great improvement on standard lights. Especially on twisty country roads. I'm hoping to see a significant improvement again with Dynamic Light Assist.

19" alloy wheels are for people who have money to burn. They are a purely cosmetic option. In fact I believe they make the ride worse and reviews have proved that the additional mass make the car slower   (Lights touch paper and stands back.)

Agree 19s were a purely cosmetic choice for me... unfortunately I felt the standard 18s on the GTI facelift (Parkers) were a step backwards vs the Austins so the 19s then became an essential extra ;-)

I did consider changing the alloys. The Parker alloys may not be the most stylish, but like previous GTIs, they are distinctive. I see them as an evolution of the previous design and understand that some people don't like change. However, they are the 'new GTI alloys'. From certain angles, car fans will be able to spot the 'new GTI alloys' long before noticing the new lights, bumpers or exhausts and badges. Therefore, I have decided to keep one of the things which makes the car look like a GTI.

Plus - I'll save money, they look easier to clean, replacement tyres are much less expensive, they should be quieter, more comfortable, more economical, reduced chance of tyre/alloy damage, perform and handle better.

I can't argue with any of that Daz Auto and I really wanted to like them, particularly as you can't spec them on any other golf, they are indeed the GTI alloys as you say.

I'm sure they actually look better in the flesh too and I had only seen them online, but I had seen the Brescias on the Clubsport and liked them straight away.

Unfortunately as it was a cosmetic choice, I overlooked all of the important points you gave re cleaning, tyre costs, performance etc... I may live to regret that haha!
