I do like a white R estate. Mine would have black Prets and a sunroof with the rest of the roof black.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Had to top up the oil today, a whole litre . The only time I've had to do it before was within the first year. Had a look around and can't see anything obvious. It's due in for it's third service next month so I'll get it checked then.

Update - booked it in for a service and asked them to check for leaks (which hopefully they would do anyway....). The service booker really had his sales hat on . So third service (free as part of the deal when I bought the car), brake fluid change, aircon service (they did those two for £99, brake fluid was £64 on it's own so thought it worth getting the aircon checked, I wouldn't normally bother) and it's first mot (£35). I wanted to wait rather than leave it as the garage is awkwardly located for public transport but it was coming out at about 5 hours so for £12 they are going to collect and redeliver.

I also asked about getting the PP diff oil changed. There was some umming and arring, was the car dsg? Was it a haldex service? No to both and didn't get any further. Will ask again when I pop in at some point, not in a desperate rush to get it done.

Taken my car on holiday  My OH wanted to do a beach holiday overseas for her birthday so I booked a week for us, on, the Isle of Wight  We are very close to the beach though, and we had to take the ferry, job done

Our home for the week:

And my car having survived all that salty air and seagulls:

We are now in a thunder storm but have a lovely log fire going, finished some gin and now moving on to some red wine. Happy days

Thanks, great so far other than a local in the pub who muttered 'fu*king Londoners', well he wasn't wrong...

Done a deal to px it for a Tig R-line.

OK, it's the last of the old shape, it's 6 months older and done 15,000 miles more than the Golf, but it's only costing a good months earnings to change and it ticks a hell of a lot more boxes.
