How you finding the new car ?  Am seeking reassurances it is worth the extra £10k over a nearly new Gti PP !!

Really interested to know if the interior feels special .. Especially if you have bucket seats ..

Is it worth an extra £10k? Probably not but only you can decide that. I don't have the bucket seats but I do really like the interior, it's a nice place to be. Just think of the exclusivity value over the normal GTI PP...

Collected the car today, all was looking well.

And then I noticed swirl marks and this.

The dealer has said that they will pay to rectify so can't really fault them.

Looks good, aside from the scratch and dealer inflicted swirls. Hope it didn't spoil the experience of collecting your new car and that it'll soon be looking as it should.

Really happy with the colour choice. It looks fantastic in the sunlight although it is covered in dust already. I am going to get it detailed later and whatever it costs extra to sort out the scratch and swirling they will pay. I can feel the glue along parts of the places where the covers were.

The guy that prepared the car was called out to meet me and he said it was normal and that he doesn't use the same SPONGE one the new cars that he uses on the used cars and he changes the sponge every month

I advised him of the two bucket method and he looked at me as if I had two heads. When he went the manager told me that his English wasn't that good.

Forgot a photo from the front quarter.

I don't suppose we should be surprised that they use a sponge and the one bucket method on new cars, but it's really disappointing they do. Hope the dealer's as good as their word and a detailer of your choice sorts it to your satisfaction at the dealer's expense.

My car goes into the dealer for it's first service on Friday. They'll be instructed NOT to clean my car!

Looking for a new arrival!? Inchcape in Bolton have a reduced by nearly £5000, Golf R estate in white. Also a reduced Golf GTI ClubSport 5 door, also in white. Both brand new and real lovely looking!
Don't work for them, but just use them, as they are a good dealer so far.

They should be closer to 10k off list for the R.
