Ive had my 115bhp gt tdi remapped, and the difference is mad, will outrun a stock 150 tdi now, well upto 90ish anyway lol, well worth the money,

After having driven a 130 and now a well looked after 150 I kinda doubt that as the difference beween the 130 and 150 is very noticable. The 150 25th anniversary model Im getting goes like a bat outta hell and its stock. More power to ya if it deos tho.

You want to fit a decat pipe with a remap as the stock system is very restrictive, i fitted mine after remap and i did actually notice a marked improvment in top end power.

I had my standard tdi 130 remapped by Ben from R-Tech yesterday, all I can say is wow! Such an improvement and service R-Tech provide is excellent. I would recommend a remap to anyone. Torque levels are amazing. De-cat next for me.

Fuel economy has improved on run to work this morning, although that will make up for yesterday's journey home when it was defiantly down!!! :-)

Well, I totalled my previous golf.

I now have a 130 TDI.

It's bloody quick haha! How do you guys test your top end then, where I am there isnt many places you can really go flat out.

Most I've had out of mine is like 110mph. An that is just standard, she still wanted to go aswell haha!!

But yeah, is it worth me getting a Decat exhaust then, before I ever get it re-mapped?

Mine was 130mph+ when standard

You can remap then decat; doesn't really matter unless you want the tuner to push it a little harder as you have less restriction in the exhaust

My exhaust could be on the way out, that's why I was asking Rhyso, but I know the decat pipe makes it illegal aswell?

No it doesnt. CAT is different from DPF. You wont need a cat to pass your MOT
