18t aum clutch

How long would you expect a standard 18t clutch to last?

Bought my Golf 6yrs ago this March, re-mapped after 3months. Never had any slipping or gear changing problems.

Maybe I`ve got a sleeper upgrade fitted?

Thanks.

1.8t Aum. forge 007p. 17" bbs. R-tech stage 1 map.205/235. catch can.

Or maybe you just know how to drive as that's not unheard of

I replaced my standard clutch recently and it had done 110k miles. It was the original clutch and DMF setup and had done maybe 20k miles at Stage 1 and 10k at stage 2 or thereabouts. Ended up slipping like mad when putting decent throttle down.

When removed it didn't look that worn to be fair but think it was just not man enough to hold the torque of a stage 2 map.

Purely down to how it's been driven by you and the previous owners

Also, if its mapped nicely i.e. No massive torque spike then it will last even with abuse
