Would a roadside check even have the time to check the dpf. It's right up near the engine so wouldn't they need to take the engine tray off and then get right under the car?

Their suspicions would be aroused by the "DPF equipped" car spewing out clouds of soot.

If they do a static test then you won't see anything if its mapped properly and even on the move you will get only a small puff when you first accelerate

My old PD A3 was 'almost' as clean even with the DPF removed come MOT time
