no thyre crap

my car has 9000 something miles, has 1 small stone chip on the bumper and 2 on the bonnet so not bad at all but the screen is absolutely peppered.

i always make a point of keeping well back off the car in front, especially this time of year.

i actually got one chip on the windsceen while parked up! a car drove by and flicked a stone up and caught my windscreen and chipped it.

our altea is a disgrace too - the bonnet has barely got a stone chip but the screen is covered in them. must be a VAG thing
MINI suffer it too, mate at works had 3 of them now, all have suffered badly.

Does yesterday count as I want to give the old girl a rest today?

Did 11 hour night shift on Friday, went to bed for a couple of hours, got up, showered and had some pizza.
Drove it to Cornwall to visit my dad in hospital, decided that whilst I was there I'd drive it to the bottom of Cornwall, had a meal, turned around and drove home again. 240 miles, 29 mpg on the computer, about £50 on fuel went in when I got back.
Went home, had a Guinness and went to bed. Slept about three hours and woke up needing a piss. Been sat on the internet ever since!!

The joys of night shift

I find myself walking the dog at 3am when I'm trying to turn round! Horrendous

I de-tard, iron-x'd, washed, polished, glazed and waxed it and re sealed the wheels again and flege stift'd the door and window rubbers and sealed the glass

Looking damn fine. Don't want to get it dirty now. The roads are a mess round here.

Kicked the damn thing.

Driving and all of a sudden, Engine Malfunction light comes on with the message - Take to Workshop immediately.  Car lost all power and is now on the side of a road awaiting vehicle recovery.

Bought the car new in 2011 and its broken down 5 times.  Fuel pump issues and now this.

Not happy.

Hi folks, an update.

Stealers have just called.  Asked me if the car had been modified.  The car has a Revo stage 1 remap and basic ITG air filter.  Although I didn't admit to it.  Got away last time they questioned me. That was the time they replaced the faulty ignition coil.  The GTI also had fuel pump failures on two occasions. The first time prior to any remap.

He said it's likely the fuel and air mixture is too high for the Turbo??

Does this make sense?  Has anyone else had these issues with a stage 1 remap?

Advice appreciated.

Thank you.
