Well I'm still no wiser my son has been down and gone all round the car and it's how I left it without a mark on it so it's still head scratching time.
In the dealers next weekend for service so il mention it see what answer they may come up with

Have you tried running a vcds scan for errors?
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

As of yet no as I'm not in the vicinity the car.
Silly question but can the scan be done via the IC or dorder as an external source need to be connected

Does it happen all the time? The suction on my phone holder in my car gave way once so it dropped to the floor and made a noise and set the alarm and lights off. Could it be something moving around or making noise in the car that’s setting it off? Mind you I’m sure they would have told you if the alarm was going off.

Yes, alarm is most likely... something moving the air inside the car maybe? It has volumetric sensors...

If you think its a false alarm and keeps happening, disable the internal monitoring (switch on the inside of the door B pillar on the Mk7 and a menu option on the Mk7.5)
Current: Mk8 GTI DSG, Adelaides, DCC, HUD, HK, Winter Pack, Rear Camera.. Aka "HMS Weasel"

Gone: 2017 Mk7.5 GTD,manual, NavPro
Gone: 2014 Mk7 GTD, manual, NavPro, DCC

Thanks for the info nothing inside to trigger it I haven't seen them go off work colleagues told me they noticed them flashing.
My son was checking it yesterday and they didn't flash while he was there.
But as I said it'd a relief that's there's been no impact

Could be something simple as the switch /relay itself...
