Looking at a GTI PP 7.5
« on: 23 August 2017, 12:19 »
Hi there,

I'm going to start looking at a GTI 7.5 next month and was just wondering what sort of % discounts there are off list at the moment or what to expect?  I am looking at buying on PCP and having a few options on the car.

Thanks,

Martin

Try websites such as Drive the Deal, Orange Wheels and Carwow to get an idea of available discounts.

Check drivethedeal.com and Carwow, I found carwow to be slightly cheaper. If you don't want to give your details quite yet, just use fake ones, it will still show you the discounts

Gone but not forgotten '07 Mk5 GTI DSG (2006 to 2014)

You could try carwow.co.uk, best offer I got worked out to be a 14.6% saving.

RRP with a few options chucked in came in at £32,330, offer price was £27,598.00.

Not sure if this is good / bad or indifferent, but I was happy. Dealer also chucked in 5 years GAP insurance, a pair of GTI sunglasses and the first two services for free.

16% looks like the largest current discount (at DtD).

If you are not serious about buying the car at the end of the PCP it's worth looking at personal lease which may be cheaper monthly payments 👍

Thanks for all the replies guys

Been on Car Wow and had one offer which looks very attractive to me.  I guess it all depends on what they offer me for mine then, bearing in mind the saving through car wow (will they make a lower offer on my car as part ex, i guess time will tell).

How does it work with car wow then?  Would you have any dealings with them?  Of just with the dealer?
